Topic/Application:

Research: We had looked forward to using Podcasting with our students, but once we started going through the steps/processes of using this tool and the editing process of it, we wonder if our students would be able to actually do this as we had planned. One of the things that we had wanted to do was to record excerpts/passages for them and have them respond, etc. However, we are afraid that they will be overwhelmed if given such a task.,

Instructional Routine: This site hosted by pbs, has lesson plans, links, etc. that originate from basic how-tos to indepth podcasts and actual posting/jurying of your class work on pbs.

Issues/Barriers- Potential solutions: Too hard for our students; so how can we provide instruction or does anyone know of any sites that make podcasting a simpler process or task. We will need to find a site that is geared more for podcasting with elementary students as far as the basic process of podcasting.

Advantages/disadvantages to specific application(s): This is a wonderful site, but we will need to find other sites that are more student/kid friendly. SIte has a wonderful planning tool/rubrics, etc. that you give to the students.
